As a Kuwait University Professor and Chairwoman at Capital Standers, Dr. Amani Bourseli’s appointment as Minister of Commerce and Industry in May 2011 was respectfully accepted by her peers in the business world. According to Al-Anba Newspaper, “her merits have been internationally recognized and rewarded.” In 2010 She was the recipient of the Economic Policy and Knowledge Development Achiever award at the Middle East Business Woman and Leaders Achievement Awards. Today, as she stands as the only woman on the 16-minister cabinet, she continues to make a difference in the business world, not only for women but also for the Kuwaiti people and their economy.
