Minister of Culture & Chairperson of the UN World Heritage Committee
Prior to this position she has been assistant Undersecretary for Culture and National Heritage at the Ministry of Information. Furthermore, Sheikha Mai has been the recipient of the “Distinguished Arab Woman in the field of Administrative Leadership” prize from the Center of Woman Studies, Paris, and was also elected as one of the “50 Strongest Arab Women,” in a Forbes magazine survey.
