Her Royal Highness, Sheika Sabika bint Ibrahim Al-Khalifa has been dedicated to womens’ rights in Bahrain through her encouragement for women to be involved in politics. As the head of the Supreme Council for Women in Bahrain, she is a strong advocate for women to vote and is involved with other women leaders to continue empowering women in the Arab world.

In an interview, she spoke about the impact Bahraini women have had on the development of the country, ‘The continuation of the development process will always involve women’s full participation in public.
